SWM
Save together. Build together. Grow together.
LoadingHow it works
Ajo works on trust. SWM adds a record to that trust, so every contribution, charge and payout can be checked by the person it belongs to.
SWM records your details and issues you a permanent SWM code such as SWM009. That code is what staff use to find you at any collection point, so you never need to explain who you are or which group you belong to.
A group has a fixed contribution amount, a frequency and a number of members. When you join, your payout position and your scheduled payout date are set, and your full contribution schedule is created immediately.
Each period has a window and a final due date. Paying inside the window keeps your record clean. Paying after the due date raises a separate late charge that never changes the contribution itself.
When you hand over money, staff enter the amount and the system works out the split before anything is posted: how much settles your contribution and how much settles the management charge. You get a receipt with that split printed on it.
When your position comes up, SWM prepares the payout, shows the gross amount and every deduction, and only marks it paid once someone with authority confirms that the money actually left. Large payouts need a second approver.
Your member portal shows your contributions, your charges, your payout position and your full statement. Nothing about your account is hidden from you, and nothing about other members is shown to you.
You are in a group contributing ₦200,000 a month, and the management charge is 3%.
The receipt shows both lines. The ₦200,000 stays your contribution money. The ₦6,000 is SWM revenue. They are never added together into a single figure on any screen or report.
